I'm a self-taught surface pattern designer in Minnesota. I create hand drawn patterns for fabric and wallpaper, inspired by color, whimsical daydreams, the nostalgia of simpler times and fond childhood memories.

Before I ever drew a pattern, I was a maker. I owned a handmade baby bedding shop, and in 2018, while searching for fabric with designs I just couldn't find, I started my slow but steady journey of learning surface design. What began as making the fabric I wished existed became the work I get to do every day.

I think that's why designing for makers means so much to me. I've been on your side of the fabric, hunting for the print that's just right, and I know the feeling when you finally find it.

My process still starts where it always has, with pen and pencil sketches, refined digitally and finished as patterns. I enjoy working in collections but sometimes a stand-alone design is too good to resist.
